“It’s not very often a song like this comes along, I’m just happy I’m the guy who got to record it. This, quite possibly, could be one of the biggest songs of my career” notes an exuberant Bamford.

Gord Bamford headed into the 2015 CCMA Awards season with six nominations, five among artist award categories: Fans’ Choice, Male Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, Songwriter(s) of the Year and Video of the Year, and one industry award nod for Producer of the Year.
After taking home the prestigious “Songwriter(s) of the Year Award” (Gord Bamford/Buddy Owens/Phil O’Donnell) for the song “Where A Farm Used To Be” at the CCMA Gala Dinner & Awards on Saturday night, Gord added to his trophy collection tonight with wins for “Male Artist of the Year” and “Single of the Year” at the 2015 CCMA Music Awards Show.
Bringing home awards from the Canadian Country Music Awards 22 times including the 2015 awards, Gord Bamford continues to work toward delivering the best in country music. As the reigning “Male Artist of the Year” at the CCMA’s, Gord’s chart history is equally impressive as he’s delivered 18 Top-10 singles into the Canadian market to date. Gord’s 6th studio album, titled Country Junkie, brought Bamford his first ever #1 single, ‘When Your Lips Are So Close’. This song proudly hit U.S. airwaves in July, 2015 on all digital service providers, including iTunes.
Since creating the Gord Bamford Charitable Foundation back in 2008, Bamford has generated nearly $2.2 million thanks to an annual charity golf classic he hosts in Alberta every summer. Those monies have gone to support underprivileged youth and single parent families in Canada by supporting education, health care and music as well as charitable foundations including MusiCounts.
