Coldest Concert on Earth? King of Canadian Country, Bamford Plays Show in -41° Weather

LEDUC, AB – February 2, Gord Bamford and his band didn’t hesitate to play in the cold despite -41°C (wind chill) weather. Hundreds of brave fans came out to enjoy the festivities of Rogers Hometown Hockey. 

The Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour follows Sportsnet hosts Ron MacLean and Tara Slone as they travel across the country, making stops in 24 different communities to celebrate local hockey stories, and the game’s biggest stars.

“It felt great to play just up the road from my hometown of Lacombe and to be in a Alberta celebrating the great game of hockey.”

“It was impossible to keep instruments in tune but I was sure glad we could get the one song in. We wrote “Ain’t It Grand” to represent our great country of Canada and I’m glad people could hear it on a national platform like Hometown Hockey. I can tell you it’s the coldest show we ever played.”
