“It's an honour to be working with an incredible singer-songwriter like Dallas, this guy is a star. We have been looking for the right artist to bring on to our label at Cache Entertainment for a long time. Dallas knows what he wants to do with his music and he is extremely intelligent in his approach. I love his vision and his unique sound, says Gord Bamford. “Not only that, Dallas is a national hero having fought for our country with the Canadian Military for 16.5 years. He has since retired, and is now pursuing his passion for music, and I feel fortunate to be a part of his journey."
Dallas Alexander hails from a rough-and-tumble backwoods upbringing on the Fishing Lake Métis Settlement in Northern Alberta. He’s serving up a unique sound for today’s listeners, and country lovers are in for a gritty outlaw vibe. He released his debut album Adios Amigo - Live at Bowies in 2022, which tells tales of his history in the military, his childhood, and life as a husband and father.
“For me the most important thing is the song and keeping it true to my vision. I love that Cache allows me to keep this focus and our priorities are in alignment. It’s so valuable to be able to draw from the immense experience and talent that their team has, they are such a stellar group! Having been a fan of Gord and his music for a long time, I am humbled and honoured to be joining him at the beginning of my music career,” says Dallas Alexander.
Prior to his burgeoning music career, Dallas retired from an impressive 16 plus-year career with the Canadian Armed Forces as a sniper in the Special Operations unit (JTF2). To date Dallas has amassed over 100,000 Spotify streams on his single “Child of this Land” and earned editorial placement with his next single “Can't Blame My Bloodline”. His performances across North America include appearances at venues ranging from intimate bars to renowned music halls. He has also been invited to appear at popular music festivals such as the Cavendish Beach Country Music Festival in Prince Edward Island.
Dallas is also collaborating with some of today’s biggest names in the industry, and crafting lyrics alongside acclaimed writers and performers. Many of these talented individuals will be featured on Dallas's upcoming album, including Buddy Owens, Justin Lantz, Blue Foley, and Trick Savage, among others.
Dallas is currently on the road opening for Gord Bamford on his 2023 “Canadian Dirt Tour” and working on his upcoming 8-song album.
