NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (September 23, 2026) – The Grand Opry will welcome Canada to centre stage on Thursday, October 29 for “Grand Ole Opry: Celebrating 50 Years of the CCMA.” For 50 years, the Canadian Country Music Association® has championed the artists, songs, and stories that have helped shape country music in Canada.
The special Opry celebration will bring together generations of Canadian Country Music artists, honouring the longtime connection between the Opry and the Canadian country music community. Canadian artists scheduled to perform include Opry member Terri Clark, as well as Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Gord Bamford, Paul Brandt, Tami Neilson, Brett Kissel, and Tenille Arts.
The evening will also feature special guest announcers Jackie Rae Greening, longtime radio personality and programmer and Shannon Ella, four-time CCMA Award winner and iHeart Radio personality.
The celebration will feature an especially meaningful Opry moment from this year’s CCMA Awards. During Saturday night’s broadcast, Stella Lefty’s Opry debut performance of “Boston” recorded from the Opry stage, was featured as part of the awards show. The evening also brought an unforgettable surprise when Shannon Ella invited Jess Moskaluke to make her Opry debut during the October 29 “Grand Ole Opry: Celebrating 50 Years of the CCMA” show.
From artists who have helped build the foundation of Canadian country music to the voices carrying its story forward, “Grand Ole Opry: Celebrating 50 Years of the CCMA” will honour the special place Canadian country music holds within the wider country music community, and the longstanding relationship between Canadian artists and the Grand Ole Opry.
