HALIFAX, NS – ROOTED Gala and East Coast Credit Union are excited to announce award-winning Canadian country music artist Gord Bamford as a special guest performer for a first-of-its-kind, farm-to-table culinary experience celebrating local food and farming.
Australian-born and Alberta-raised, Gord Bamford is one of the most decorated artists in Canadian country music. He has received 26 Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards, including Album of the Year, Single of the Year, and Male Artist of the Year, along with multiple JUNO Award nominations. With over 100 million streams and 5 billion global radio impressions, Bamford is a two-time recipient of the CMA Global Country Artist Award and has achieved 28 Top 10 singles in Canada. He is also the recipient of the MusiCounts Inspired Minds Ambassador Award. In addition, Bamford has been recognized with the CCMA Humanitarian of the Year Award for his commitment to giving back, having raised more than $6 million for various charities through the Gord Bamford Foundation.
“As a proud 4-H alumnus and recipient of the 4-H Canada Distinguished Alumni Award, it’s an honour to be part of the ROOTED Gala in support of the next generation of farmers in Nova Scotia. Agriculture has always been close to my heart — it’s where my roots are, and it’s what built the values I carry with me today,” said Gord Bamford. “I’m proud to help celebrate the people who feed our families and shape our future.”
ROOTED will be a heartfelt event blending an extraordinary culinary experience with rural pride and youth empowerment. It will culminate with a special musical performance by Gord Bamford and his reflections on how the 4-H program influenced his career and the positive impact he sees 4-H having on today’s youth.
“East Coast Credit Union is deeply rooted in the communities we serve, as we have always been passionate about supporting youth and sustainable, local agriculture. Partnering with 4-H Nova Scotia for the ROOTED Gala is a meaningful way to celebrate leadership, rural pride, and the values we hold dear, alongside an unforgettable evening of entertainment,” said East Coast Credit Union Senior VP of Member Experience and Operations, Sally Van de Wiel.
"We are ecstatic to have Gord take the stage at the ROOTED Gala. This special broken-down acoustic performance will highlight his engaging stage presence and heartfelt lyrics, offering guests a unique and intimate Gala experience,” added ROOTED Gala Chair David Hovell. “Not only is Gord an accomplished performer and 4-H alumnus, but he is also an exceptional Canadian and role model for young people. Special thanks to East Coast Credit Union for making Gord’s appearance possible.”
Set for Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at the Halifax Convention Centre, tickets for the ROOTED Gala are now available at www.RootedGala.ca.
